A Man Called Son Single Launch!

Holy Moses it's some time since this blog has seen an update!
Apologies to anyone reading this for all the tumbleweed. Quick summary of the past year: after a few months of writing and preproduction, A Man Called Son went into Headgap Studios in mid 2012 to begin work on their new album. With the exception of vocals and the odd overdub, it was recorded entirely live with some great musicians pitching in. I think it's safe to say that the album definitely has more of an 'organic' feel than the last one.
Mixing and mastering now in the bag, the album, titled 'Midnight Associates' will be released on May 6.

And as you can see by the poster, we'll be launching this single this Sunday, Apr 7 at The Workers Club with the fantastic Velcro, who are also plugging their new single. Support from Sydney boys and girls King Tears Mortuary and local lads Ciggie Witch.

Do come along. It'll be quite a glorious occasion, if we do say ourselves.

The Return of A Man Called Son

It's been a while between drinks...so we are happy to announce the first A Man Called Son show in quite some time. It's all happening @ The Victoria Hotel, Brunswick on Friday March 9 from 10 pm. We'll be playing plenty of new material. Also on the bill- the fabulous Rich Yeah. Oh yeah, and it's free!

The Adventures of Bushy Bush @ Victorian Student's Festival, ACMI!

The first public screening of The Adventures of Bushy Bush will be taking place on Tuesday August 16 at 7 pm @ ACMI, as part of the Victorian Student Animation Festival!

The character of Bushy Bush is an original creation by Simon Pearlman, brought to life by Tarsha Dickenson's fabulous animation and the humorous voicings of Daniel Kahn PLUS some musical offerings from A Man Called Son. Entry is free. We hope to see you there!
